Thesis Colloquium 2007
The Thesis Colloquium was a research paper competition open to the following:
- PACS, Inc. members during AY 2006-2007 who have finished their undergraduate degrees.
- The research paper must cover any chemistry or chemistry-related topics.
- All undergraduate theses finished during SY 2006-2007 and SY 2007-2008 are eligible as entries. Entries which have been presented (oral or poster presentation) during the proceedings of any Philippine Chemistry Congress are not eligible.
Participants were required to submit their abstracts as word or pdf files using the following format:
- Page dimensions: 8.5” X 11” (letter) with 1” margin on all sides.
- Text: 12-point Times New Roman font, single spaced, justified paragraphs.Title of paper should be in bold capital letters and centered.
- Name(s) of author(s) and address(es) should be centered and written immediately below the title. Name of presenting author should be underlined.
Abstracts were submitted on-line, by e-mail at pacswebmaster@philippinechem.org or through a PACS, Inc. member society representative.
Entries who qualified for the final round weree notified immediately. The Mechanics for the final round weree released not later than one week after the finalists were named.
The two (2) winning entries of this competition received free registration fees (worth P 5,500.00) for the recently concluded Tenth Eurasia Conference on Chemical Sciences at the Philippine Internationl Convention Center this January 2008. Their research papers were entered in the Poster Presentation Competition of the said conference.
